Edward Paul Givens, Sr., 82, passed on January 7, 2019. He was the former husband of the late Grace Givens and the late Angelina Waters and was the only son of Doris and Roscoe Givens. Edward was a proud father and survived by seven children: Charleen Waters and Alana Sewell from Suffolk, VA; Janet Williams and Cathy Brown from Dallas, Tx; Kaven Corners, Edward Givens, Jr. and Nicole Gaucher from Rhode Island. He also left behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He never met a stranger, never forgot a name or an event that happened. Truly a kind and thoughtful person who loved big.
Viewing will be January 10th, 2019 from 5pm until 8pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, Rhode Island. His funeral Service will be held Friday, January 11th at 10:00 am at Keefe funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, RI at noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to The National Kidney Foundation in his honor.
